PLAYA CATIVO … A LUXURY ECO LODGE IN THE COSTA RICAN RAINFOREST
Accessible exclusively by boat, Playa Cativo Eco Lodge lies sheltered in the tranquil waters of the Golfo Dulce, the inner side of the Osa Peninsula in southern Costa Rica, and is surrounded by some of the most unspoiled and diverse rainforest in all of Central America. Unique in its native beauty, seclusion and natural treasures, Playa Cativo (Cativo Beach) offers an unparalleled experience for those eager to be immersed in nature. It is also a strikingly beautiful setting with the ultimate in peace and serenity.

Playa Cativo’s 400 hectares of private rainforest are surrounded by the Piedras Blancas National Park, and offer an intimate access to the Park — one of the crown jewels of the Costa Rican National Park system — along with Corcovado, Golfito Wildlife Refuge and other surrounding protected areas.

Best of all, Playa Cativo offers the privacy and peaceful waters of a mile-long beachfront, which is also part of the Piedras Blancas National Park, and where our guests enjoy monthly sightings of spawning needlefish plus a diversity of marine life activity, including dolphins and seasonal whale watching.
